Media Reviews Of Delta Machine

Postby adriangreen » Fri Mar 22, 2013 1:46 pm

Thought I'd start a thread for reviews so we can keep them in one place and look through them rather than some dropping off the end of page 3 and being forgotten.

Would the Admin's be able to amalgamate other review threads into here?

Anyway, the first is from the London evening Standard (it's the fourth review if you scroll down). The reviewer is clearly not a fan

http://www.standard.co.uk/goingout/music/album-reviews-march-2013-8517058.html

and this is from today's Metro and is a far more positive and indeed longer take on things

http://metro.co.uk/2013/03/22/album-review-depeche-mode-still-at-their-best-with-new-release-delta-machine-3553255/

To set the scene the Standard reviewer marked every new album down compared with the Metro (perhaps he had a bad day).

Great idea, Adrian, but it seems like a lost battle to have some sort of order here now.
Personally I think we could use a few more "Delta Machine" threads.... :-)

Anyway, it does a get a bit more positive reviews than their previous album, doesn't it?

Totally agree, we don't have an 'Apathetic To Delta Machine' thread yet.

I am pleased to see how well this is being received overall. I do think the 'star ratings' always seem a bit mean compared to the actual write ups.
