I just randonly met the band today- what incredibly nice people

I had the most surreal experience today. I was walking down the street with my husband and heard someone speaking loudly with an english accent. I look over and saw a German looking tourist guy and thought nothing of it. Then I saw a man with those familiar blond curly locks. It came together. Oh my, there is Fletch and Martin. I asked them to take a picture. They were so incredibly nice. Then walks up Dave. I was in shock. My husband took a picture of me with all three. And they were all smiling. What genuine nice people. I felt so comfortable, I was about to sit down and have lunch with them. Then I realized that I was a complete stranger to them and let them have there space.

I've always wanted to met them but was afraid they would be in a bad mood or I would say the wrong thing. This was a complete and total accident to see them. And they couldn't have been more nice. I'm still on a high.

Oh and what are the chances that they are all together at the same time? Dave said that they are working. I hope they release some new stuff soon. I'll be eagerly waiting.

And I had no idea it was Dave's birthday. I would have wished him Happy Birthday if I knew. Oh well, I'm just glad I didn't say something foolish. They were so normal and the experience didn't really hit me until after we left. My mind just kept saying "ask for a picture and hope they say yes". They were so cool to say yes.

I can relate to what you say about meeting heroes though. I've had the good fortune to meet a few, non-music related, & been worried about what to say. They were as good as DM.
